NACS is seeking an Education Program Coordinator responsible for ensuring that processes designed to support programs and events delivered by NACS Education are both grounded in best practices and executed flawlessly.
NACS conducts several executive education leadership programs (Financial Leadership at Wharton, Marketing Leadership at Kellogg, Women’s Leadership at Yale and Executive Leadership at Cornell) and the annual NACS Leadership Forum. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Education team and internal (Member Services, Marketing, Products and Services, Expo, etc.) and external stakeholders to help execute these events.
In addition, NACS offers educational programming at the NACS Show, HR Forum as well as a handful of global events. The successful candidate will also work with the Director of Education Engagement and the Education team on the strategy of education engagement and will assist in executing, managing, and maintaining engagement efforts around these events.
Program Coordination (40%):
Work with Marketing to ensure registration and attendee communications for NACS Education Events and other meetings meet or exceed our members’ expectations.
Partner with Executive Education Program Schools Kellogg, Wharton, Cornell and Yale to create a best-in-class customer experience for NACS members.
Maintain continual communications with Executive Education Program stakeholders.
Manage logistics for speakers at the annual NACS Leadership Forum, to include timelines, presentations and technical requirements onsite.
Support the smooth functioning of Convention Content Committee by assisting with scheduling, logistics, material distribution, communications, meeting minutes, surveys and record keeping.
Help promote the NACS brand through accurate and quality communications with members, volunteers and other constituents.
NACS Show Coordination (40%):
Serve as the frontline contact with our onsite NACS Show technical crew, Freeman.
Assist in training temp employees, and coordinate NACS Staff volunteers for education sessions.
Contribute to planning processes for all educational conferences and meetings by assisting with program development, speaker management, and gathering and analyzing data.
Assist with the development of comprehensive project timelines for all activities and manage project plans to meet deadlines and ensure successful initiatives
Attend all planning meetings and organizational meetings to ensure projects are on schedule, and to foster collaboration where necessary. Contribute ideas, solutions, and recommendations.
Develop and manage timely, professional communication (written, electronic and verbal) with NACS staff, NACS Education team members, Convention Content Committee and other stakeholders.
Create schedules, outlines, handouts and presentations as needed.
Speaker Development (20%):
Serve as liaison for roughly ten education sessions at the annual NACS Show, working with volunteer speakers to provide quality applicable and relevant content.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve existing learning experiences and implement those improvements.
Help deliver instructor-led training for NACS Show speakers - including expectations and feedback and tools and resources - needed to support effective learning and influence learner behavior.
Performs other duties as required to support the Education team.

Excellent computer skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience with project management software tools is a plus
Previous work experience with boards or committees and/or for non-profit or volunteer-based organizations is a plus
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, CMP or PMP required
2-3 years’ experience managing projects and events
This position is located at the NACS office, 1600 Duke Street in Old Town Alexandria. We are walking distance from the King Street Metro.
Roughly 10% travel is required to select NACS events.
