The Press Coordinator works to support and help drive the development of new content for TAPPI (books, publications, website, webinars, etc.) as well as handle day-to-day operational projects and tasks.
This role interfaces with the TAPPI Team, our volunteers, authors, and publishing partners to develop, maintain and market our content and publications. This position provides an excellent opportunity to utilize strong project management skills and member/customer service skills in order to ensure TAPPI meets or exceeds our members’ expectations.
PRESS and Publications Operations (~20%)
Act as primary contact for bookstore fulfillment and ensure exceptional member service is provided to TAPPI members and volunteers including assistance with customer inquiries
Support Press Operations and Admin including but not limited to: Company License Agreements, elearning royalties, and credit approvals
Support the Bookstore onsite at conferences and courses as needed
Coordinate bonus distribution for TAPPI Publications including Paper360°, Tissue360° and TAPPI Journal
Provide support and manage article submission projects for TAPPI Journal
New Content Development (~60%)
Support development of new and updated PRESS products and demonstrate on time/on budget deliverables, as well as efficient execution
Ensure permissions and copyright for content and images are consistent and documented; may coordinate post production activities, such as mailing, mail house arrangements, coordinating copyright registration, and permissions activities
Coordinate TAPPI Reseller program
Marketing and Admin (~20%)
Provides text and technical services to developing and maintaining Web pages and/or other forms of electronic communication
Develop and manage conference, course and product surveys for Marketing
General marketing support and updating TAPPI collateral
Provide general support to TAPPI’s AMS clients

Bachelor’s degree preferred
Ability to travel (~10-15%)
