As NIGP's Education Manager you will be responsible for the LMS and developing and delivering all aspects of NIGP’s online learning offerings. You will provide management and guidance to our Knowledge Management team to develop, enhance and deliver live and recorded events, courses and all related course products and logistics. Our Education Manager also provides on-going assessment of learning products (to ensure content consistency) and technical support to both internal and external systems users.
Your Key Responsibilities are:
Staff Management: Participate in establishing the annual program goals and objectives. Supervise, train, mentor and develop. Develop, maintain and administer budgets. Collect and manage monthly reporting statistics.
Program Management: Solely responsible for the administration with our LMS. Partner with our learning technology providers and manage supplier contracts. Oversee scope and delivery of web-enabled training. Ensure all training materials are technically accurate.
Development & Delivery: Design, develop and deliver eLearning/distance learning offerings. Oversee, design and develop online instructor training. Contribute to the delivery of online instruction. Monitor and manage learning product goals. Train staff on technology changes.
Program Assessment: Explore new products and tools. Identify alternative approaches for content delivery. Conduct needs assessments and monitor learner assessments.
Your Minimum Qualifications are:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design/Technology or related field; significant relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
Progressively responsible experience related to eLearning and Multi-Media production
Three or more years of supervisory experience
Your Ideal Skills and Abilities:
Experience administrating an LMS
Comprehensive, demonstrated use of authoring tools
Technical and working knowledge of the design, development and delivery of eLearning instructional methodologies
Adult learning principles, training and design delivery techniques
Ability to work collaboratively to ensure courses are developed
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Solid organizational and time management skills
