The Manager, Member Engagement provides leadership, and management oversight of the association’s membership benefits as well as recruitment and retention activity.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The Manager is charged with implementing the recruitment and retention strategies of the organization. This person will also monitor member and customer engagement supporting membership and revenue growth.
Specifically, the Manager is responsible for membership development and retention, member benefit administration, collaborating on membership marketing, database development and other related initiatives.
The Manager is responsible for planning and monitoring an expense budget. Specific responsibilities include:
Through data analytics, develops an understanding of member and customer behaviors to plan and implement successful recruitment and retention activities.
Manages the quarterly running and reporting of the Customer Engagement Score (CES) process.
Manages communication to low engagement members to increase likelihood of membership renewal.
Manages the vendor relationship and day to day administration of the APICS on-line community - Supply Chain Channel.
Works to increase the conversion rate of Young Professional members to Professional member status.
Develops and maintains onboarding campaigns/communications to first year members.
Manages the vendor relationship and day to day administration of the APICS Mentor Center.
Manages relationship with APICS Career Coach – to include webinars, white paper development and other projects.
Works with Marketing Department to produce quarterly Professional Newsletter content.
Oversees organizational Member Recognition efforts.
Prepares the budget for all membership recruitment and retention activities.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
3-5 years of professional experience in Marketing, Membership or a non-profit association.
Prior experience working in or with associations and/or academic institutions is strongly preferred.

Ability to travel as often as several times per month
