This position is responsible for the continuous measurement, innovation, and improvement of the ASSE Member Experience, in all stages of the member lifecycle. This individual will be responsible for delivering on membership recruitment & retention goals, in partnership with ASSE Marketing.
Member Experience: Oversight of membership operations to ensure a quality member experience at all points in the member lifecycle. Includes troubleshooting, testing, and working with cross functional teams to ensure all systems in place are effectively & efficiently supporting ASSE members.
Membership retention: monitor monthly renewal statistics; oversee dues renewal process and communications, benchmark reasons for lapsed membership, etc.
Member recruitment: responsible for ongoing recruitment activities through customer relationship building and engagement.
Member engagement: develop system to define and measure member engagement. Guide organization & team members on effective and practical methods to use member engagement metrics.
Community development: Work with select segments of members/volunteers to grow, retain and engage each group while implementing value-add member activities.
Product development: Assess and adjust select membership products as needed based on fundamentals of new product management. Oversee ongoing product execution.
Team Management: This position will manage one full time staff member and be expected to work and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Bachelor’s degree required.
5+ years of experience in association management marketing/membership/community growth OR corporate marketing/customer engagement management.
Persuasive type quality to influence others to achieve the business objective.
Formulate new, creative ideas based on data.
Can work in a team environment; connect and establish lasting relationships.
Approaches problem solving with a creative and positive methodology.
Attention to detail with an understanding of project management fundamentals.
Ability to delegate in all directions.
Genuine curiosity to experiment and open to try new things.
Excellent communication and fundamental marketing skills.
Framework of knowledge for association management or CRM software in addition to social networking outlets.
Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other applications.
Ability to work M-F during normal business hours; travel to meetings and/or annual conference.
