NRF is seeking a Manager, Member Engagement to manage the development, execution and evaluation of member engagement strategies; ensures member engagement objectives align with NRF’s goals.
The successful candidate will possess intellectual curiosity, embrace open collaboration, and take an energetic approach to fulfilling our mission.
Develops an understanding of member behaviors through analytics; plans and implements successful engagement activities
Works with member communications team to recommend and assist with the development of effective communications tools for member engagement, retention and recruitment
Works with member development team to involve low engagement members in activities to increase likelihood of membership renewal
Supports and tracks member engagement campaigns; procures data for campaigns
Updates and facilitates use of interactive members-only websites and forums
Welcomes new members to councils through extensive on-boarding efforts
Coordinates all post-program follow ups, including adding resources to website, sending out program survey, and updating program attendance lists; updates internal data bases promptly about council and member activities
Assists with program logistics, including venue research, pricing, scheduling, uploading program copy to website, working with caterers and other vendors, and scheduling meetings with speakers;
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or other equivalent relevant discipline
Minimum of 4 years’ work experience in membership
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite; experience in the use of databases for managing association membership information
Sound judgment; strategic thinker
Experience in survey development and implementation; strong ability in analysis
Strong communication skills (both written and oral), as well as intelligent listening skills
Some experience in event planning and implementation
Detail-oriented self-starter with high energy and the ability to work independently, accurately and on schedule
Ability to adapt quickly and readily to change
Ability to work and collaborate as a part of a motivated, driven team
Some travel required
