General Summary: Responsible for planning and onsite logistics of educational initiatives and governance meetings for the organization. Responsible for enhancing the attendee experience and value rating of events in alignment with program goals and objectives. Responsible for taking lead on professional development and meeting project plans as needed. Must have strong project management and collaboration skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees logistics of AMTA face to face educational programs, governance and stakeholder meetings, and internal AMTA meetings providing a high level of customer service and a high quality attendee experience;
Serves as lead on professional development and meeting project plans as assigned.
Develops and manages budget for events and meetings in collaboration with department management;
Under the supervision of the Professional Development Senior Manager with oversight from the Senior Director, Knowledge Transfer, assists with site selections and contract negotiation for AMTA meetings;
Efficiently manages requests for proposal and contract programs for meeting vendors to maximize efficiency of organization;
Participates on inter departmental team to ensure messaging for meeting promotional materials reflect appropriate and accurate travel and logistics information with a view to maximizing the attendee experience;
Participates as a member of the team that develops exhibitor/sponsor communication with a focus on positive exhibitor/sponsor relationships.
Works as staff liaison to volunteer committees associated with educational programs;
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
3-5 years meeting planning and/or event logistics experience;
Experience negotiating contracts with hotels and event spaces strongly desired;
Project management experience, including creation and management of multiple budgets and quality control;
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred;
Experience with mobile apps, webinar applications, LMS and association databases a plus.
This position requires some night and weekend work. Must have ability to travel.
