Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI) s seeking self-motivated, entrepreneurial candidates for the newly created position of Education Manager.
You will have overall responsibility for the education practice, industry outreach, and professional development activities and programs at PMI. As manager, you will provide the vision and leadership in the development of in-person, and on-line education programs, and the direction of our education practice and continuing education related activities.
As a member of the management team, you will actively participate and work with volunteer leaders, senior leadership, and staff across all departments to establish both short and long term plans and objectives to support the Association's goals and priorities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop education and industry related programs that help us meet member’s needs and future growth
Develop and manage all education programs and committees related to education and industry practices including continuing education, in-person meetings, workshops, webinars, and online learning
Enhance PMI’s position as the go to resource for information and materials on plumbing fixture and fittings industry best practices, manufacturing leadership, regulatory requirements, codes and standards for members and other organizations
Guide and manage the development of materials and information resources to help member companies and their decision makers increase use of PMI technical, advocacy and education
Implement innovative programs to enhance the member experience and outreach to industry and organizations.
Understand data metrics and how to use them to drive results. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place and report progress. Review programs, services, and activities to gauge if we are meeting member and other stakeholder expectations and needs
Develop and increase academic and industry collaboration and connections
Direct departmental operations including: budget preparation and administration; short/long term forecasting; and continual process improvement
Serve as a key member and resource to the management team, interacting regularly with all stakeholders to identify and secure new opportunities
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: You have at least 3-5 years’ experience in education and/or professional development. Knowledge of industrial manufacturing, plumbing products, HVAC, building, and/or construction industry a plus. A Bachelor’s degree required; Master degree in education, management development, or a related field is ideal.

Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of data management systems. Ability to learn about and utilize digital communication and remote working tools.

DISTRIBUTED TEAM: PMI is a distributed team organization, which means your workplace is wherever you are during regular business hours. Relocation is not required, however daily availability during regular business hours and occasional travel is both expected and required. Access to a safe, comfortable workspace with high speed Internet connection to allow you to conduct your work and the business of the association in private without interference, unnecessary distraction, or interruption is required. All essential technology tools and resources are provided by the association.
Telecommuting is allowed.
