The position develops and implements engagement, marketing, and communication strategies and tactics for the AIUM and its communities by deploying social, electronic, and print marketing initiatives for all AIUM information and endeavors. This position is instrumental in increasing member awareness and engagement, presenting AIUM products and services to a broad audience, and working with the Communications and Member Services team to maintain and grow a strong brand identity through the AIUM’s online communities by engaging leaders and volunteers in furthering the AIUM’s mission. This position also manages the AIUM awards program and election cycle.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Work independently under the leadership of the Director of Communications and Member Services
Manage assigned staff
Lead the strategic development, tactical implementation, and analysis of a member-centric marketing strategy to elevate awareness of the AIUM, grow membership/usership, increase attendee registration, and increase member engagement.
Generate and propose ideas for new marketing and communication products/services, collaborate with internal and external teams to create such products/services, and manage efforts to launch new products/services.
Develop print, social, and email material to support the AIUM’s brand, as well as its courses, membership, member engagement, organizational achievements, and products and resources.
Serve as the organization’s primary liaison with the AIUM’s community leadership.
Cultivate and enhance the AIUM’s online community networking platform.
Manage, organize, and coordinate the association’s elections
Manage, organize, and coordinate the association’s awards program, including Fellows

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in communications, writing, journalism, marketing preferred.
6-8 years of experience preferred, including marketing and communication strategy development and deployment, content generation for digital and print, and project and vendor management.
Experience with marketing automation and analytics platforms
Experience with Informz, Real Magnet, and Online Communities (Higher Logic), Acumen (Association Analytics), and Associations Anywhere (ACGI) platforms a plus.
Association experience a plus, but not required.
