The American Dental Association is dedicated to promoting the public's health through its initiatives in research, education, advocacy, public awareness and the development of standards. We have an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator, Client Services.
The Coordinator, Client Services coordinates the ongoing projects for the Department of Client Services, including dental society outreach initiatives and is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Office of Student Affairs. This position is responsible for the internal and external coordination of client services' programs and functions including continual monitoring and improvement of the department's processes. This individual communicates with state and local staff and volunteer leaders and coordinates with Client Services staff to understand and serve their needs for requested information about ADA national, state and local dental society association management initiatives. Assists with project planning, coordinating and implementing specific activities for the implementation of the ADA's dental school strategy.
The position also coordinates special projects for other department members and supports division initiatives as assigned, updates information in the membership database, providing telephone support for member service, and other duties as appropriate.
BS/BA and a minimum of 3 years of administrative experience or, in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 7 years of administrative experience.
Must be able to work independently, exercise independent judgment, and collaborate with many levels of staff.
Must be creative and attentive to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication, multi-tasking, problem-solving, analytical & organizational skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Proficient in database management software.
Highly Desirable Skills:
Degree in business, communications or related field.
Public speaking and customer service experience.
Experience with technology tools, web authoring tools, and social media.
Previous meeting planning and Association experience.
