AHLA is looking for a strategic minded business partner to lead our technology initiatives.The strategic leader is responsible for the successful execution of enterprise technology initiatives. You must provide guidance, coaching, and project leadership to support AHLA goals. With a focus on member experience across the various platforms, you will be one of the key decision makers around defining and managing technology governance. You will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing projects, defining and measure metrics, establishing and managing AHLA and vendor project teams. You will be expected to also apply proven problem-solving skills to guide and assist various users on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of critical business software.
In coordination with the CIO, develop and maintain technology strategy and plan.
Demonstrate delivery leadership by ensuring initiatives are well-managed, predictable, within budget and tied to the strategic initiatives of the organization
In coordination with the CIO, develop and oversee processes to develop a comprehensive project plan for new projects and initiatives. The plan should include design, development and maintenance of the system.
Enable and lead continuous collaboration on functional and technical designs with various stakeholders
Develop and manage process to triage requests for business prioritization and ensures system configurations are optimized for business process implementation
Drive general approach and execution of data cleansing efforts, in collaboration with staff and partners.
Collaborate with AHLA staff and partners to develop processes to manage applications to ensure they comply with AHLA policies (e.g. security and access).
Ensures that project schedules are maintained and shared with project teams.
Understand data requirements and reporting needs and ensure that these are fulfilled throughout programs.
Oversight and planning of enterprise level system(s) to ensure they are regularly optimized to meet the strategic objectives of the organization
Form critical relationships with vendors, consultants, and contracted services
Advise leadership of project status when it affects operations from a resource, financial and/or human resources perspective.
Ensure accuracy and adherence to AHLA policies and standards.
Identify emerging technology trends and practices that would benefit the organization.
10-15 years of experience, preferably in an association or non-profit
3-5 years of relevant experience in project/product management
Experience working with networks, enterprise-level applications (CRM, CMS, LMS, FMS) data management, analytics and business intelligence
Demonstrates very strong communication skills both in-person as well as via phone/E-mail
Confident, polished demeanor; experience with presenting information to all levels
Meticulous, detail-oriented nature; high level of organization and schedule/time management
Ability to drive a large quantity of initiatives concurrently
Passion to work in a fast-paced, data-driven team environment
Collaborative approach to working with both internal and external teams
Ability to thrive both independently and with teams, a true self-starter
Experience working with data and understanding its “story”
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience with integrating platforms and services
Detailed knowledge of Security, Sharing, Profiles and Roles
PMP or PgMP preferred but not required
