HOW YOU'LL SERVE OUR ORGANIZATION:
The Director of Sales position will be responsible for global sponsorship sales for all virtual and in-person events, publications, and digital inventory for our client organizations. As a member of our organization's senior management team, this role requires the ability to think strategically and work collaboratively. The primary responsibilities include defining annual sales strategy, managing the sales team and overseeing all sales operations.
This position requires proven sales experience, strong people management skills, and the ability to think and plan strategically.
Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Create and execute annual strategies to acquire, onboard and maintain relationships with association sponsors
Develop and oversee the sales process and be the main point of contact for the organization's sponsorship sales and drive various levels of sponsorships
Build, maintain and achieve annual sales goals and budgets
Manage, organize and run partner committees
Participate in team meetings to communicate updated sales strategy as well as determine how sales can complement other programs
Identify new customer segments for future development
Analyze and measure sponsorship behavior and participation
Create, manage and cultivate strategic relationships partner base
WHAT WE'LL ASK FOR:
Commitment to the organization's mission and passionate about driving innovation and community engagement
Minimum of 8 years of experience in global sales; association management experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
Minimal travel to attend a couple of annual, US conferences
Demonstrated strengths in strategic planning and problem solving
A self-starter who can work independently, prioritize and handle multiple time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and project management skills
Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce and ability to adapt to new software platforms
