American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of women's health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking aProgram Director, AIM to oversee the operations of the Alliance for Innovation in Maternal Health (AIM) program implementation, special projects, and other ACOG activities. The Program Director, AIM will provide direct strategic oversight for the performance of the AIM program as well as various other grant programs that support AIM and promote the advancement of women's health. The Program Director, AIM has oversight responsibility for multiple complex and high financial value grants and is accountable for the AIM program's performance.
This is a 100% funded through a cooperative agreement with a federal agency.

Responsibilities
AIM is a national alliance to promote consistent and safe maternity care to reduce maternal mortality by 1,000 and severe maternal morbidity by 100,000 instances over the course of four year. The purpose of the AIM program is to equip, empower and embolden every state, perinatal quality collaborative, hospital network/system, birth facility and maternity care provider in the U.S. to significantly reduce severe maternal morbidity and maternal mortality through proven implementation of consistent maternity care practices. AIM will collaborate with qualified states and many hospitals and hospital systems across the U.S. participating on a voluntary basis to initiate or improve a culture of maternal safety through continuous quality improvement cycles.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the business operation functions (budgets, contracts, pre-award and post award compliance, financial forecasting and financial reporting) of the AIM program and manages the programmatic functions of the AIM program.
Provides leadership support over program planning, implementation, and reporting of program activities to AIM Partners, funders, and ACOG leadership.
Oversees the activities of seven staff members to achieve deliverables to various funders and program objectives
Manages all staff activities, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, budgeting and controlling quality of all program activities
Plans and directs all initiatives pertaining to the AIM grant program, with the responsibility for establishing and managing budgets, creating staffing plans, and resource allocation within grant program; Manage the recruitment, training and supervision of new and existing staff
Assigns tasks and projects to ensure adherence to ACOG standards, procedures and requirements
Support of AIM work groups, both internal and external, at meetings, conference, press questions, congressional inquiries and panels
Review and monitor all data collected to support various AIM projects and other supporting grants to ensure accuracy and proper dissemination
Identify state-wide, regional and national strategic partnership opportunities and initiate new grant proposals that further the work regarding women's health
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public health or related field is required; Master's in Public Health is highly desired, BSN highly desired
Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience is required; Minimum of five years of supervisory experience is required
Experience working with state-local public health systems and community-based organizations is highly preferred
Demonstrated computer literacy, proficient in MS Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and other Office products.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs and manage time effectively, including working under pressure and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Must be organized, and detail and deadline oriented.
Must be highly motivated, take initiative, and maintain professionalism.
Capable of using sound judgment in problem solving skills and resolving problems.
Ability to investigate issues, ask appropriate questions and recommend alternative solutions, as appropriate.
Must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment
Ability to travel and work long hours, as necessary
