Join BIAA as its Education Program Specialist and you’ll make a difference as a key member of our team. We are looking for a talented, organized, detail oriented individual with strong people, communication and computer skills (MS Office). Experience with meeting planning and education program development is required. Experience with brain injury, brain injury resulting from opioid overdose, and/or healthcare is preferred.
The Education Program Specialist develops, implements and evaluates the Brain Injury Association of America’s (BIAA’s) education programs for professionals and consumers and coordinates BIAA’s research grant making process. BIAA will offer four to seven conferences/workshops and over 20 live webinars annually.
Serve as staff liaison for and lead education program planning committees.
Run live webinars and ensure that live webinars are recorded.
Coordinate site selection for in-person conferences in conjunction with third-party vendor(s).
Coordinate all in-person conference logistics.
Coordinate BIAA’s online grant application review process in cooperation with BIAA staff and volunteers.
Identify, secure and manage speakers.
Coordinate marketing to promote education opportunities.
Maintain records and relevant databases.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including customer/member service experience.
Ability to work in and learn web-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications.
Ability to plan, manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines.
Ability to travel overnight for 2-3 days for conference, meeting and training events per year, which occasionally may include weekends.
Telecommuting is allowed.
