Executive Assistant, Office of the Executive Director Chicago, IL
The American Dental Association is dedicated to promoting the public's health through its initiatives in research, education, advocacy, public awareness and the development of standards.
The Coordinator, Office of Executive Director will provide administrative support to the Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer of the American Dental Association for the primary purpose of allowing the ED/COO to focus on substantive issues. This assistance involves but is not limited to managing the ED/COO's daily schedule utilizing Outlook; providing a daily schedule with all necessary materials for the day's meetings, and scheduling internal and external requests for appointments and/or meetings whether in person or by phone. This position will also assist with the ADA related travel for the ED/COO including business expense management and reporting. The Coordinator will need to exercise independent judgment in managing the ED/COO's schedule, based on a full understanding of the current and long-term priorities of the ED/COO.
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience working with a high-level executive (i.e. CEO, VP, CFO, COO, etc.). In lieu of a BS/BA, a minimum of 8 years of experience is required.

Must be able to work well under pressure
Knowledge of general office procedures
Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, time management, planning & organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
