Part-time Accounting Coordinator

We are a highly-regarded, mission driven, non-profit organization is in search of a self-directed and experienced Accounting Coordinator to oversee all financial and accounting activities.

This position is anticipated to be a part-time position requiring between 15 – 22.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance of the accounting general ledger, day-to-day activities of the accounting department, month and year-end close procedures, and working with our outside CPA firm. This position will report directly to the Executive Director.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Actively participate in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the company’s accounting system, including accounts payable, cash disbursements, dues and corporate contributions billing and collection, and maintenance of the general ledger system.
• Strong compliance with policies, procedures and internal controls for the accounting department.
• Responsible for month end and year end closing procedures.
• Monitor compliance with revenue restriction criteria.
