Illinois Society of Association Executives, a 501c6 member based organization, is looking for a contract bookkeeper/administrative assistant to assist the volunteer board to manage and oversee the Association’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable and daily financial entries and reconciliations. This position will also manage the member database, distribute, and collect dues notices and sponsorship invoices. They will perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries and record payments and adjustments. This position will report to the President of the organization.
Requirements for the position:
Previous bookkeeping experience for a not-for-profit or other like organization
Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Office products
Managed a database system or CRM and website (organization uses YourMembership)
Ability to self-manage and learn quickly
Reply to general member questions regarding dues, membership status, etc.
Use QuickBooks to perform tasks such as AP and AR, bank reconciliation, preparing financial statements, profit and loss statements and occasional financial analysis reports.
Membership dues invoicing, processing, and database maintenance.
Provide website updates, as directed.
And other duties as assigned.
