IACP seeks to hire a Human Resources Generalist with experience working in a collaborative and matrixed environment to broadly support IACP efforts within the Human Resources department. This position will coordinate human resources services and serve as the day-to-day HR contact for several identified tasks, actions, and projects. Additionally, this position is expected to learn all aspects of human resources, share aspects of the workload, and serve as a back-up for the second Human Resources Generalist on a daily basis. The position reports to the Director of Human Resources and will touch all facets of the Human Resources functions to include the following: JOB FUNCTIONS Recruitment – Full Cycle Recruitment - Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources to develop and execute complete life cycle recruiting plans, using passive and active recruiting techniques and a broad variety of sources with a focus on developing a ready candidate pipeline to fill critical roles
- Collaborates with hiring managers to thoroughly understand job requirements and draft appropriate job advertisements to locate the ideal NCC employee
- Effectively phone screen candidates for suitability
- Acts as an ambassador of the IACP brand in all interactions with potential candidates by presenting the company as an employer of choice
- Assists in educating and directing hiring managers to ensure compliance throughout the employment process
- Assists hiring managers with candidate assessments as needed
- Participate in the interview process, salary analysis process, tentative offers, and hiring
- Onboard and conduct New Employee Orientation
Human Resources Communication and Operations: - Assists with communications and messaging for the department
- Collaborating with other departments on messaging as appropriate to include email
- communication and memos
- Organize and manage staff events
- Serve as the HR lead for various committees
- Oversees the Internship and Fellows program
- Helps oversee the maintenance of the UltiPro-UKG HR system;
- Uses HR information to develop reports and analytics for HR Director and other regulatory requirements.
- Assists with maintaining employee records, and termination files
Performance Management - Manage the annual employee performance review system (Performance Pro)
- Train employees on the proper use of the Performance Pro system
- Assists in managing the merit increase process
Benefits and Off-Boarding - Assists in managing the benefits programs including new hire enrollment, open enrollment and the termination of employee benefits
- Answer benefits questions for employees.
- Managing Docusign account and HR reimbursement and invoicing on Concur
- Managing off-boarding and exit interview process
- Managing open and active employees files and file room
- Processing FMLA, FFCRA and ADA Requests, approvals and denials
- Serve as back-up and support for HR colleagues
- Other duties as assigned to include audits and conducting annual training
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Six years of job-related experience
- Three years of Human Resources Generalist experience
- Two years of experience using UltiPro-UKG and ADP preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other relevant business software

Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a non-profit organization or association
- Experience working in a collaborative and matrixed environment
- SHRM/HRCI Certification Preferred
Relevant Experience/Skills - Strong work ethic and takes initiative to set priorities, meet deadlines and proactively solve problems as needed.
- Knowledge of State and Federal HR laws to include Title 7, FMLA, ADA and other related topics.
- Experience working with and maintaining confidential data.
- Demonstrated critical thinking with the ability to solve problems by gathering data, reasoning logically, and drawing valid conclusions.
