The Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is directly responsible for increasing revenue from corporations, foundations and other strategic partners to advance the mission-based programs of FWC and SGO. The position works to establish long-term partnerships, strengthen existing partnerships and initiate new contacts within this sector to build a robust pipeline of ongoing funding support for FWC and through FWC for SGO. The position requires ongoing collaboration with internal stakeholders. The position is also responsible for the fulfillment of grant and/or sponsorship agreements that includes completion of progress and reconciliation grant reports to ensure compliance with grant and sponsorship terms.
Primary Responsibilities
Research and identify foundation and corporate prospects, for both the organization as a whole and for specific programs, projects and initiatives that align with the Foundation’s strategic direction
Develop individualized solicitation strategies for corporate and foundation prospects
Build, foster and expand relationships with external corporate and foundation funders
Work with the Chief Industry Relations and Business Development Officer to define goals, objectives, and financial targets for the Corporate and Foundation Relations program.
Work collaboratively with the Chief Industry Relations and Business Development Officer and Chief Development Officer to identify, develop and frame aspects of opportunities for funding within existing and new program development.
Support Chief Industry Relations and Business Development Officer in administration of Industry Corporate Council.
Lead all aspects of creating and submitting corporate and foundation grant proposals, including writing, preparation of supporting documentation, drafting and collection of required attachments.
Support sponsorship solicitations for special events by coordinating prospects, tracking responses, developing sponsorship packages, and serving as a point of contact for overall stewardship.
Track all FWC grant and sponsorship activity in an organized manner.
Maintain regular reporting and reconcile income reports with the Finance team.
Prepare board reports highlighting corporate/foundation development progress.
Represent the Foundation and Society at external events to network and build new potential partnerships.
Provide staff support and represent the Foundation at all FWC-specific SGO and FWC events.

Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment. Requires ability to communicate verbally and in writing in an exchange of information; collect, compile and prepare work documents; set-up and maintain work files.
WORKING CONDITIONS
All positions are currently performed remotely and we are open to discussion about permanent remote work arrangements.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours/week). Salary is commensurate with experience. SGO offers a comprehensive and generous benefits package including PTO, health insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan to its full-time employees.
