The Infusion Nurses Society (INS) is seeking a highly motivated, organized, self starter to work remotely providing support to the Publications Department through copy-editing, proofreading, and writing for the associations scientific journal, association magazine and all other in-house publications and marketing campaigns.
Coordinate and track submissions of articles for the INS membership publication, INSider. Prepare, copyedit, proofread and schedule each edition. Oversee formatting, printing and distribution of the publication.
Assist in editing all INS publications both new and in revision.
Prepare, format, copyedit, and proofread member and prospect email notifications, informational print brochures, and other internal/external notifications.
Gather and research materials to ensure validity and best practices.
Provide the Publications Department with support and collaborate with project workflow for The Journal of Infusion Nursing.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or Communications.
Minimum 3-5 years' professional publishing experience or equivalent
Able to work in a faced paced, deadline-driven environment
Knowledge of AMA Manual of Style (or JAMA) strongly preferred
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and other online publishing platforms preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Meticulous attention to detail regarding spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and general clarity
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Telecommuting is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience
