This is an extraordinary opportunity for a leader with the potential to move into a Chief Financial Officer position within two years. Meanwhile, the Controller will lead all day-to-day Accounting activities for (c) Management, Inc. (CMI), the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC), and the Association's chapters (Societies). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The Controller will be involved in supporting presentations to ACCC’s Board of Trustees and audit and investment committees. S/he will work closely with the senior leadership team.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day company accounts
Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Coordinate all audit/review/tax preparation activity
Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
Communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Keep senior leadership abreast of CMI’s and ACCC’s financial status
Oversee Budget forecasting and cash flow management
Ensure government compliance in all tasks
Supervise accounting staff
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 10+ years experience in the area
Must possess at least one year of experience in either processing payroll or managing someone who processes payroll
CPA and/or MBA is preferred
Proficiency with current financial software
Experience with non-profit accounting is desirable but not necessary
Understanding of US GAAP
